After more than two decades of service to San Diego's nonprofit sector, San Diego Social Venture Partners (SVP) is proud to announce a bold new chapter: we are now Amplified Impact Partners.
Our new name reflects both the evolution of our work and the growing momentum behind our mission. “Amplified Impact Partners” was chosen because it powerfully captures who we are and what we do: we amplify the efforts of nonprofits so they can deepen their impact and reach more people.
For more than 24 years, we’ve connected top professional talent with nonprofits across San Diego County, delivering high-value, pro bono consulting support. As our reach has grown and our impact expanded, it was time for an identity that reflects the strength and scale of what we’ve become.
"When we founded this organization in 2001, we saw a need in our community and the incredible possibilities that could be realized by bringing dedicated, expert professionals together in service," said Alan Sorkin, one of the founding Partners of SVP. "This new name honors that spirit of collaboration and impact while positioning us for an even stronger future. I’m proud of how far we’ve come and excited for what’s ahead."
The name Amplified Impact Partners was unanimously approved by the Board of Directors following an inclusive and deliberate renaming process that began last August. Input from board members, staff, Partners, and local nonprofit leaders led the effort to select a name that captures our organization’s unique model.
"Amplified Impact Partners reflects [their] role in expanding nonprofit capacity, amplifying voices, and driving sustainable change," shared one nonprofit leader who participated in the process. "It keeps the theme of impact while feeling dynamic and forward-moving."
With the launch of Amplified Impact Partners, we are also reaffirming our commitment to strengthening San Diego’s nonprofit sector at a time when clear guidance and strategic support are more critical than ever. After launching more than 30 capacity-building projects in 2024—our biggest year of impact yet—we’re now scaling our efforts to reach even more organizations with high-impact consulting, expert guidance, and the collaborative spirit that has always defined our work.

As we continue to grow, adapt, and amplify our work, our mission remains the same: to mobilize talented individuals to partner with nonprofits, strengthen organizations, and expand community impact across San Diego and beyond.
