INEZ GONZALEZ PEREZCHICA

Dr. Inez González Perezchica is a nonprofit executive and a leadership coach. Most recently she was the Executive Director at MANA de San Diego, where she led efforts to empower Latinas to achieve upward mobility and enhance their quality of life. Her work is grounded in a lifelong commitment to equity, inclusion, and fostering environments where diverse leaders can thrive.
She was the founding director of the Latino Communications Institute at Cal State Fullerton, a workforce-preparedness program. Dr. González Perezchica built her media expertise during nine years at the National Hispanic Media Coalition (NHMC). Her career spans media, education, nonprofit leadership, and government service. She is a San Diego LEAD alumna (’01) and a fellow of several prestigious programs, including the HOPE Leadership Institute, Women’s Policy Institute, and the National Hispana Leadership Institute (NHLI).
Dr. González Perezchica holds a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of San Diego, an M.A. in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix, an M.P.A. from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government, and an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership. She also earned a Leadership Coaching Certificate from the University of San Diego’s School of Leadership and Education Sciences and is a Board Certified Coach (BCC).
Her recent honors include the Social Mobility & Advancement Leader of the Year, by Cause San Diego (2023) and Girl Scouts San Diego Cool Women (2022). She is especially proud of her decade of service on the Board of Directors for the National Immigration Law Center (NILC), which advocates for the rights of low-income immigrants. She currently serves on the KPBS Community Advisory Board and the Sharp Chula Vista Medical Center Quality and Safety Committee.
A proud binational citizen, Dr. González Perezchica was born and raised in Tijuana, Mexico.
