KEN HAMLET

Ken Hamlet is a longtime executive and entrepreneur with leadership experience across hospitality, executive advisory services and venture investing. He served as CEO and chairman of Vistage International, a global peer advisory organization for CEOs, and was previously CEO of Holiday Corporation, then the world’s largest hospitality company. Hamlet also founded Wellcap Ventures, a venture capital firm focused on wellness, where he is a managing partner.

Hamlet has a strong record of community leadership and service. He served as chairman of Big Brothers Big Sisters in Memphis and as a member of the executive committee for Baptist Hospital in Memphis. He also volunteered for eight years as a Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts den leader in Memphis and Aspen, Colorado, and served seven years on the board of Country Day School in Aspen. Earlier in his career, he chaired Mid-South fundraising for the U.S. Olympic Committee in support of the 1976 Olympics.

Hamlet earned a bachelor’s degree from Cornell University and completed Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program. He also completed two years in the MBA program at Boston University.

Hamlet is married and has four sons. Outside of work, he enjoys sailing, biking, hiking, skiing, and learning new skills. He also loves to travel and is an avid cook, with formal chef training.
