LENETTE POSADA HOWARD

Lenette Posada Howard brings more than three decades of experience building, scaling and transforming organizations at the intersection of technology, people and impact. She was part of the founding executive team at Niantic, where she helped lead the company's spinout from Google and scale the organization from approximately 35 employees to more than 1,000 globally during the growth of Pokémon GO. Her leadership has spanned operations, organizational strategy, mergers and acquisitions, and building the systems and teams required to support rapid growth. Earlier in her career, she held leadership roles at Google and other technology organizations, developing deep experience navigating complex, high-growth environments.

Today, Howard brings that operating experience to board service, philanthropy and nonprofit leadership. She serves on the Board of Directors of Feeding San Diego, and was recently appointed to the University of Notre Dame College of Engineering Advisory Council, supporting its commitment to developing engineers who use their talents as a force for good. She is also actively involved with the Mexican American Educational Guidance Association (MAEGA), which expands access to higher education through scholarships for first-generation college students. Howard’s deep appreciation for this cause stems from her own personal experience; as a first-generation college student herself, she worked full time while earning her Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of California, Irvine. That experience shaped her appreciation for education, perseverance and opportunity.

Howard is a native San Diegan who has been married for more than 30 years. She has two adult children: a daughter who is a mechanical engineer and a son who plays professional baseball in Mexico. She loves water skiing, the beach, reading, traveling and spending time with her extended Mexican family.
