MAYA VENKATARAMANI

Maya Venkataramani is a seasoned finance executive with more than 20 years of global experience spanning investment banking, strategic development, manufacturing, and corporate finance leadership. Most recently, she served as Senior Director of Finance at Marriott International, where she led procurement finance strategy, budgeting, and analytics for global operations. Prior to Marriott, Venkataramani directed supply chain finance and strategy at Starwood Hotels, driving cost optimization and sourcing strategies across North and Latin America. Her earlier career in investment banking at Raymond James and Bear Stearns provided deep expertise in IPOs, mergers and acquisitions, and leveraged buyouts, building a strong foundation in valuation, modeling, and investor strategy. She began her professional journey as a product engineer at HP, managing global cross-functional teams through high-tech manufacturing transitions.

Her community service includes board and Finance Committee leadership with the Solana Beach School District Foundation, as well as active volunteering at her children’s schools. Maya also contributes her time to grassroots food waste reduction efforts through 92130 Cares and Feeding San Diego, while exploring additional nonprofit opportunities aligned with her skills and values.

Maya holds an MBA in Finance and Strategy from Emory University, an MS in Manufacturing Systems from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, and a B-Tech in Mechanical Engineering from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University in India.

Her greatest joy comes from family life with her spouse, two school-aged children, and their goldendoodle, Coco. She enjoys gardening—especially tending to roses, fruit trees, and seasonal vegetables—and the thrill of cooking with homegrown produce. Committed to healthy living, Venkataramani also embraces long walks, yoga, swimming, and workouts, often alongside good friends.
