JASON LOBENSTEIN
Director, Operations

Jason Lobenstein is a nonprofit operations professional with a passion for building strong systems, supporting people, and helping mission-driven organizations thrive. Jason has spent his career working behind the scenes to create clarity and stability so teams can focus on impact.
He has held senior operations roles at organizations including Congregation Beth El and the Lawrence Family JCC, where he supported day-to-day operations, coordinated budgets, managed systems and vendors, and helped lead teams through growth and change. Jason is known for anticipating challenges, improving processes, and bringing a steady, thoughtful approach to complex work.
In addition to his professional work, Jason has been an active volunteer and served as a board member for NextGen at the Jewish Federation of San Diego, contributing his time and perspective to support community engagement and leadership development.
Born and raised in San Diego, Jason is a graduate of the University of Arizona, an avid sports fan (Go Padres!), and a proud husband to his wife Carly. Together they have two young daughters, and Jason especially enjoys coaching them in their athletic pursuits and cheering them on from the sidelines.
