PRENTISS SMITH

Before joining Amplified Impact Partners, Prentiss was the Senior Associate Director of Programs at the Rustandy Center for Social Sector Engagement within the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business. Her work centered on supporting students and alumni in building meaningful connections with the social sector, particularly through nonprofit board engagement. Prior to that, she worked in K–12 education, advising students and families as the Director of Student Development at Fusion Academy.

In addition to her work, Prentiss is deeply involved in her community. She currently serves on the board of Girls on the Run San Diego, volunteers with Feeding San Diego, and is an active member of the Vassar Club of San Diego. She has previously volunteered for various organizations focusing on after school programming, youth homelessness, and immigration assistance.

She earned her BA in Sociology from Vassar College, where she also minored in Education and Hispanic Studies. She later completed her MS in Learning and Organizational Change at Northwestern University.

Originally from Chicago (and a proud, generational Cubs fan), Prentiss doesn’t mind a snowy winter—but she’s fully embraced San Diego life, including the Padres. On weekends, you can find her hiking, biking, camping, or planning the next family adventure. She lives in Point Loma with her husband, son, and their dog.
