Smart Solutions for Smart Growth: Planning a Scalable IT Solution

Updated: May 1

Featuring Interfaith Community Services

Interfaith Community Services is a trusted force in San Diego, providing wraparound care to individuals in crisis and helping people move from hardship toward lasting independence. Through comprehensive programs and partnerships with a diverse range of faith communities, Interfaith equips thousands each year with the resources they need to stabilize and thrive.

Following a major grant and sustained growth, Interfaith recognized the need to modernize its financial software systems architecture to better support its expanding operations and ensure effective financial stewardship. The organization turned to SVP to help guide this critical decision.

The SVP team of C’Anne Vaughn (Lead Partner), Andy Kaiser, and Brian Torio worked closely with Interfaith’s CFO and leadership team to understand requirements and build a robust and objective evaluation tool. This tool empowered Interfaith to approach vendor demos with clarity, assess proposals systematically, and reduce bias during the selection process. The team also provided support with implementation planning to enable a smooth software transition.

With SVP’s support, Interfaith confidently selected a new IT system that will replace outdated and fragmented software with an integrated solution designed for greater efficiency, transparency, and control. The new system positions the organization to meet the increasing demands of growth while ensuring responsible, mission-driven stewardship of its resources.

"C'Anne, Andy and Brian brought the perfect set of experiences and expertise to our project.  From detailed knowledge of systems and processes to experience with implementations, internal control and security considerations their contributions to our project were meaningful and greatly appreciated.” – Rob Coull, Chief Financial Officer
